Although no relation to the Whitechapel serial killer, Jack the Gripper is a seriously deadly opponent that you don’t want to meet down a dark alley. Shrouded in mystery this thumb warrior grew up on the misty moores of the highlands in Scotland. It’s rumoured that the gripper trains for the tournament by performing the caber toss with only his thumb. This incredible show of strength has never been witnessed in public, yet many highlanders often hear the crash of mighty logs in the dead of night!

Jack the Gripper is known for his cunning and underhand tactics in the thumb arena, so if you face him be prepared for a dirty bout! Beat him and you may just end up swimming with fishes of Lowestoft harbour.
