When Thumb Wrestling and CBBC ‘All Over The Place’ United!

2018 marked the debut of the one time World Thumb Wrestling Championship’s new Children’s competition, which gives kids the chance to compete for their very own world championship, and CBBC filmed the thrilling action for the travel show ‘All Over The Place’.

Little ones got the chance to compete in front of the CBBC cameras and may even get to feature on the channel. Remember that as well as the main thumb wrestling trophies, there were prizes for the best-dressed thumb, and with CBBC cameras rolling, there was never a better time to decorate your thumbs and get them noticed.

The kids’ contest ran alongside the adult matches, and had full commentary and refereeing, making it a genuinely thrilling junior world championship.

The Show All Over The Place are famous for their songs. Hopefully we’ll hear a tune on the day, but here’s a little taster of the Pigeon Song below!

This year’s event took place on the 4th August at the glorious Geldeston Locks pub just outside Beccles, it began at 12 noon. As with the adult competitors, nicknames were all important, so make sure you think up a great Thumb Wrestling name for the big day should you come one year.
